Mandala – is a “Sacred Circle”- drawn for thousands of years and organizes everything inside it.

culture – is the customs, language, food, and way of living of a particular people from a particular country

therapy/therapeutic – is healing power

stress – is a kind of pressure that builds up within us. Stress has many meanings. It can make us feel nervous, unsure, sad, afraid, angry, or different. Stress is a normal part of life.

avatar – is a talking web character

medium – is one of several materials used to make art

media – are many materials used to make art

chronological– is the order in which the events happened

wizard – is a wise magician

prehistoric history – are times before written records were kept

Creativity – shapes each person’s intelligence, meaning the way we think about things, the ideas we have, the way we speak, learn, understand, create, invent and make new things.

invent – is to create something for the first time

diagonal – are slanted lines

awl – is a type of pointed tool, made out of bone, used to engrave decorations in the cave areas

auroch – (pronounced or-rock) – is an animal, that looks like a cattle, that was drawn on the cave walls

tundra – is damp, cold ground

Shaman – is a wise medicine man or woman believed to possess spiritual and healing power

forefathers – are ancestors, people who came before us

continent – is one of the seven largest areas of land in the world

abstract art – also called non-representational art is art that does not represent a person, place or thing, but could be a symbol for something else
(example: diagonal lines on red ocher)

multi-cultural – means many cultures. It is the customs: language, food, religion, dress, art, music, and way of living of a particular people from a particular area or country.

empathy – is being able to feel what the other person is feeling

icons – are symbols representing something

climate – is the weather outside

cooperate, cooperation – means to work together

resourceful – people using things from their surrounding effectively to help them live

technique – is the manner in which the art work is made

pigment – is a substance used as coloring

express – means to communicate your feelings or imagination visually, especially through art

murals – are very large paintings that may tell a story.

positive – is expressed as a good thing

self-esteem – It is that special, nice feeling you get about yourself when you do something good.

analogy – is a way of explaining an idea by using something you already understand
